Midlands Macintosh User Group Presentation

Submitted by Richard Sheppard on Fri, 2006-06-02 08:19.

On Tuesday 20 June, I'll be giving the presentation "Make your Mac a webserver" for the Midlands Macintosh User Group. With a brand new installation of Mac OS X 10.4.x (Tiger), I'll show how quickly you can set your Mac up to run dynamic, database driven sites by enabling PHP, Perl and installing mySQL. I'll then demonstrate how easily Open Source web applications can be set up with a minimum of effort. You don't have to be a programmer!

Time: Starting at 7.00pm and ending at 9.00pm

Place: Trilby Multimedia Studios in Birmingham, B4 6NR | Map | Public Transport

Entrance to the meeting is free for MMUG members or £3 for non-members and includes a raffle ticket. See our Membership page for details on joining the group.

If you're unable to attend, I'll be posting the handouts and "howto" information here after the event.

Good luck

GregSloman Says:

Good luck and I hope it goes well.

Just one bit of advice; can you come out yelling "developers, developers, developers" - it'll help the audience feel happy and really good about themselves.
